The Chef

Dandies is the latest project from Daniel Cipriani, Eastwind Hotels cofounder and Executive Chef, whose previous restaurants include Lodge, Urban Rustic, Seawolf, and Pennylicks Ice Cream in Williamsburg and Bushwick. His approach here is the same as it's always been: good sourcing, real technique, and no fussiness about it.

The Food

Smoked meats, hand-pattied burgers, porchetta, and seasonal sides are served simply on custom paper-lined metal trays. Everything is classic backyard barbecue with a subtle fancy touch, finished with house-made Italian-style gelato that earns its place at the end of any meal. Order at the bar, grab a buzzer, and find a good spot.

The Drinks

Dandies partners with Ace Coffee Roasters on a bespoke coffee program rooted in longtime skate and surf culture friendships, and with Evil Twin Brewing, which curates all draft and canned beers, including exclusive Eastwind collaborations like an oatmeal stout and the oak-aged "Little Bit Fancy" pilsner. A full bar rounds out the experience with natural-leaning wines and a seasonal cocktail menu built around regional spirits and ingredients.

The Space

Dandies is built around two things: a polished stainless-steel food trailer and a light-filled greenhouse dining room that makes you forget it's November. The space was developed collaboratively with Eastwind's co-founder and Creative Director, Julija Stoliarova. The combination is casual and considered, designed to feel like the kind of place you stumble onto and immediately tell your friends about.
